ABB Turbocharging is a global leader in the manufacture and maintenance of turbochargers for 500 kW to 80+ MW diesel and gas engines. Kompressorenbau Bannewitz GmbH, or KBB for short, has been developing, manufacturing and selling exhaust-gas turbochargers with both axial and radial turbines since 1953. These turbochargers are used on medium-speed diesel and gas engines in ships, locomotives as well as on generator plants.

The HPR series enables the single-stage, high-pressure turbocharging of medium-speed engines with an output between 500 and 3,000 kW per unit.
